Surround Sound Configurations
5.1 SURROUND
A good 5.1-channel system will give you a full surround sound experience. Most DVD, Blu-ray media, broadcast TV, and many streaming sources are in 5.1-channel format.
7.1 SURROUND
This is the audio standard for cinematic sound. 7.1 improves the directionality of sound effects with additional rear speakers and adds to the audio ambience of 3D.

Expand to a full hemisphere of audio with an immersive surround sound option. Dolby Atmos creates a hemisphere of sound by adding sound channels above the heads of the audience. This can be achieved with in-ceiling speakers or Atmos-enabled floor standing speakers that bounce the sound off the ceiling. Immersive surround sound is the ultimate audio experience for home theaters.
Receivers & Amplifiers
Audio/video (A/V) receivers, processors, and amplifiers are the hub of a home cinema, unleashing the potential of a multichannel surround sound system. ProTech has experience with state-of-the-art and award-winning A/V components from brands like Sony, Anthem, Yamaha, Onkyo, Integra, Denon, and Marantz. Many A/V processing systems are compatible with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X immersive formats and can be integrated into your home theater and smart home.
